Recent Project – Off-Grid Agricultural Energy System
TF Design is proud to announce the successful supply & commissioning of an off-grid energy solution for our valued client’s agricultural operation in Otavi, Namibia, achieving complete energy independence and self-sufficiency.
The system integrates dual ATESS HPS 150kW inverters, providing robust power, paired with a high-capacity Freedom Won 300/240 HV battery for efficient energy storage and reliable power availability.
The installation is complemented by 714x 555W PV modules, mounted on a ground mounted tracking system to maximize solar yield throughout the day.
Central to this project is our custom-engineered PLC-based Energy Management System (EMS), programmed to optimize load control and synchronize irrigation schedules, ensuring peak efficiency in energy usage. This automation enhances the farm’s operational sustainability by aligning energy consumption with solar generation periods, reducing dependency on conventional power sources.
