In 2012 TFD was contracted to construct a scale-mode horizontal coking oven. Traditionally, coking ovens are loaded vertically.
Horizontally loaded ovens provide advantages for increased yield and quality; however, with significant technical challenges over vertically loaded designs. TFD designed, constructed and commissioned the 1 Ton Scale Model with its full in-house expertise in mechanical, electrical and software control fields.
